about

This piece was created specifically for Codame, an art + tech organization based in San Francisco. They held their annual 3D Web Fest for which I created an interactive piece with visual artist/coder/tech wiz Juan Miguel de Joya. The full piece was premiered and performed on June 30, 2017 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, and included gorgeous projections that visualized my music within digitally illustrated imagery of San Francisco that reacted to my playing.

The piece itself consists of iconic field recordings I collected around the city, including but not limited to: numerous foghorns, the BART train, the F Line bells, the Cable Car Museum, the seals at Pier 39, Chinatown street noise, the Wave Organ, the sounds of the harbor at Marina Green, MUNI bus sounds, waves in the Bay, and so much wind, wind, wind.
